Supported files and limits

Which file types Breno reads, the size and page limits, link types, and the limits on exports, trash, tokens and sync.

Files you can upload#

KindTypesNotes
DocumentsPDF, DOCX, PPTXPDFs are read as text; scanned PDFs go through OCR.
SpreadsheetsXLSX, CSV
Web and textHTML, TXT, Markdown
ImagesPNG, JPG, WEBPRead with a vision provider, when one is configured.
AudioM4A, MP3, WAV, OGGTranscribed first. Needs transcription to be configured.
  • Size: up to 25 MB per file. The limits are shown in the upload dialog.
  • Names: any Unicode filename works.
  • Scanned PDFs: read from the embedded page images, up to 30 pages. JBIG2 and JPEG 2000 images are not supported.
  • Audio and OCR run as part of the upload request, so large ones take longer to finish.

Each page added costs one coin. See Billing and coins.

Link toWhat is read
An article or web pageThe readable content.
A YouTube video or a podcastIts transcript or audio, read like a recording.
